About GSec LLC

Cybersecurity professional Amanda Adams-Lance founded GSec LLC in 2019 with the belief that security should be simple, effective, and grounded in real-world experience. After leading programs at large and small defense contractors, she built GSec to bring clarity and practicality to companies navigating defense and compliance requirements. She is a CMMC Certified Assessor (CCA) and a proud United States Marine Corps veteran.

Jonathon Adams-Lance joined GSec in 2022 after more than a decade building and scaling startups across cybersecurity and other industries. As COO/CFO, he leads operations and strategy alongside Amanda, keeping the mission focused and the team performing. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and is a proud United States Navy veteran and former Naval Aviator.

Practicality and honesty are valued more than anything else. GSec's mission is to enhance the security postures of other organizations, preparing them for assessments, inspections, and daily operations, regardless of their current stage in the process. The GSec team helps organizations of all sizes meet security compliance by identifying gaps, creating customized roadmaps, and implementing documentation and recommendations.

Why’s there a Peacock in Our Logo?

As a company specializing in cybersecurity compliance, our logo was chosen to reflect the guidance, protection, and vigilance we provide for our clients. It features a peacock, not just because it’s eye-catching, but because it symbolizes protection, vigilance, and pride — values we bring to every client relationship.

Truth be told, the peacock is also our founder’s spirit animal. Often an amusing topic of discussion, Amanda Adams-Lance typically colors her hair in teal, purple, and blue, which strongly emulates the colors of a peacock. As a former enlisted Marine, mother, and business owner, she finds there is a certain synchronicity within the duality of the peacock’s protection and grace that represents everything overcome and wears its colors with pride. She relates to the peacock’s dual nature: graceful but fierce, beautiful but bold, and always aware of its surroundings. That’s the energy GSec brings to the cybersecurity world.

Across cultures, peacocks are seen as protectors, messengers of good news, and symbols of insight — all things we strive to deliver through our work. Whether we’re helping a tiny startup get compliant or advising a prime contractor on their cyber risk strategy, we show up with confidence, clarity, and maybe a splash of color.
